EVW obtains VOKA Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship for the 5th year in a row
For the fifth year in a row, EVW received the VOKA Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship in recognition of our policy on Corporate Social Responsibility in which sustainability is key. EVW has been focusing on CSR since 2014 and has now embedded the sustainability policy in its quality management. This year, AVATAR, the North Sea Region Interreg project on sustainable and emission-free freight transport in modern cities, in which EVW is a partner, has received particular attention among the Best Practices highlighted by VOKA. AVATAR is promoting the use of unmanned electric vessels for urban waterway distribution, powered by EVW's Mini-CHP using H2 from renewable energy storage. Among the many other participants who, as modern companies, are all highly committed to sustainability, we were pleased to meet Huyghe Breweries, known for its Delirium beer, who put the spotlight on their EVW cogeneration unit that ensures energy efficiency in the brewing process at the Melle site.
