Cogeneration stands for the simultaneous generation of heat and power. The power comes from a combustion engine and is used to drive a generator which in turn generates electricity. The resulting heat is not lost, but is used to produce hot water.
CHP leads to significant CO2 savings and is a highly efficient (>90%) form of self production of energy by also utilizing the released heat locally. CHP technology is recognized as the most energy-efficient way to convert energy into electricity.
EVW's product range of CHPs differentiates into Mini-CHPs (50-300 kWe) & CHPs (310 kWe - 1 MWe) running on natural gas, biogas and hydrogen with state-of-the-art energy control systems.
